Terms of Service
The ground rules for using the Holmes Labs website and our apps — written to be read, not skimmed past.
Last updated August 3, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Holmes Labs LLC ("Holmes Labs", "we", "us"). By using this website or any of our apps — OurNest, SaleScout, or AlleyCat — you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the products.
2. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Acceptable use
When using our products, you agree not to:
- break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or upload harmful content;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to our systems;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute our products or data without written permission;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in our apps. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content so the product can function. We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.
5. Our intellectual property
The Holmes Labs name, emblem, app names, software, and site design belong to Holmes Labs LLC. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features may be offered inside our apps. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded according to that store's policies, including how you cancel a subscription. Prices and plans may change with notice.
7. Third-party services
Our products may link to or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of services we do not operate.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep our products reliable, but they are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice before removing something significant.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Holmes Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits arising from your use of the products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using our products at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or if required for security or legal reasons.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Holmes Labs LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these terms go to info@holmeslabs.dev.
